Come and hear Russian masterworks for piano by Tchaikovsky, Scriabin, Rachmaninov, Prokofiev, and Balakirev, played by a Brisbane piano master, John Fisher. John studied at the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University, then at the University of Hartford, Connecticut, and recently in London. His many awards and prizes have included the Yamaha Australian National Piano Competition, the Australian National Piano Award, and recently the Chappell Medal for Piano at the Royal College of Music. He has performed at important venues including Carnegie Hall, New York, and Wigmore Hall, London. Recent recitals have taken place at St. James's Piccadilly, London; Pallant House Gallery, Chichester; and the Leeds College of Music.
